Sometimes you have to give in to authorities, even if it's all about art. Unfortunately we have to cancel BIRDWATCHING 4x4 - Benjamin Vandewalle's mobile black box.
We did not get the necessary permissions from the Danish authorities, as the box is not build according to Danish standards and laws for vehicles.

MOBILE THEATRE WITH THE CITY AS STAGE
Benjamin Vandewalle is a choreographer and a dancer from the renowned PARTS in Brussels, where some of Europe's most distinctive performers are trained. It is his keen eye for everyday choreography which brought about this mobile reality theatre. He twists and refines your notion of the city and turns your daily life into an unpredictable drama.
From a mobile box you have views of the city and the passers-by, who look back at you. The performance occurs when your gaze moves in between the features of the city, the casual passers-by and the neglected architecture. A real-life group of dancers improvise small, humorous interventions. Like live zoom lenses, they guide your eyes towards the city's undiscovered potentials - a choreography of the street, where the only guarantee is the surprise.
